This lovely couple found Miss Amelia Home through their neighborhood Facebook group and reached out as they prepared for an exciting new chapter—welcoming their first baby. They wanted their home to feel elevated, comfortable, and functional for everyday life, beginning with an updated living room and a complete transformation of their front dining room into a cozy sitting room with a bar.

In the living room, we reimagined the fireplace with new tile and a custom mantel, creating a warm focal point for the space. Custom cabinetry and floating shelves with integrated lighting were added to bring both beauty and storage, and the room was completed with thoughtfully selected new furniture designed for comfort and longevity.

The former dining room became a layered, intimate sitting room and bar. Early in the design process, we presented a bold, moody mural for the back wall—loved by the wife but initially set aside to be mindful of the budget. A few days later, her husband reached out with a request: could we quietly add the mural back in as a surprise? Of course we could—and the result was just as sweet as he’d hoped.
