About Miss Amelia Home
Hey there, I’m Emily Wilson, the founder of Miss Amelia Home. My love for creating and keeping a household came from the one I grew up in.
My mom, Amy, raised me and my five siblings (some of whom she’s still raising now) in a home that was safe, comforting, and welcoming, even when life wasn’t always the same. She showed me that your home is an emotional investment as much as it is a financial one. If you invest well, you will reap well.
She has always fostered our dreams, while often times putting aside her own in order to do so.
Amelia is a name interchangeable for both Emily and Amy. And though she and my dad have been married almost 30 years now, he still addresses every letter and sweet note to her as Miss Amy, rather than Mrs…
So here we are. Miss Amelia is for her.
About Emily
I live and operate Miss Amelia Home out of the South Dallas area. My husband and I met when we were 11 and 14, and we’ve now been married six years and have two little boys.
My background in communications and corporate project management allows me to not only see the vision with you for your home, but execute until it’s a reality you’re able to live in every day.

My Style
Who you are says everything about what your home can be.
Though my current home and design muse is a 130-year old farmhouse in Texas, I would be remiss to not mention the other parts of my heart that come alive in design…
I love rustic, earthy textures, paired with modern sensibilities. I love color tones that echo through out a home. I love telling a story with each architectural, textile, and paint choice…
Combining natural tones and textures from the landscape around you to bring peace, while incorporating patterns and colors from the places all over the world that make you feel the most at home is where I think magic is made.
Personality and function are the two most important filters for me when working on any home or room. Which parts of the world are you inspired by? How do you want this room to function? From there, who you are can be reflected in every nook and cranny.
